Apparatus Operator: Aerial

A course designed to provide the structural firefighter with the needed knowledge and skills to successfully operate aerial apparatus. A must for departments using aerial apparatus, this course covers topics such as: Types and Construction of Aerial Apparatus, Positioning Aerial Apparatus, Stabilizing Systems, and Maintenance and Testing.

Special Equipment - NFPA compliant PPE

Time:  8:00am - 5:00 pm

Classes will be held at the Arab Fire & Rescue Emergency Operations Center (653 4th Ave NW, Arab, Alabama)

Pre-Requisites

  • 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Drivers License
  • IFSAC or ProBoard/NPQS Fire Fighter I or Volunteer Fire Fighter
  • Completions of Skill Sheets 1-6 at the student department prior to attending class.
